Join the Sunriver Resort team as a Groundskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the natural beauty and pristine landscapes of our property. This hands-on position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in creating an exceptional environment for our guests. The Groundskeeper is responsible for working in a team environment to ensure the overall upkeep and eye appeal of the Caldera Springs Owners’ Association (CSOA) grounds. They will use a variety of tools, machines and other necessary materials to provide maintenance and landscaping to the grounds. In addition, the groundskeeper will also be responsible for the upkeep of the restrooms and other CSOA public areas. The Groundskeeper will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.

Responsibilities
- Operates powered equipment such snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, brush trimmer, lift trucks, and pruning saws
- Responsible for assisting in the routine upkeep and landscape of the adopt-a-road program
- Cleans designated restrooms including shower stalls, toilets & urinals, mirrors and sinks, countertops and floors
- Maintains bike paths
- Assists with maintaining all noxious weeds in the area
- Cleans up downed trees by cutting and hauling to woodpiles
- Maintains and cares for tennis courts
- Uses hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge and brush trimmers.
- Prunes and trims trees, shrubs and hedges, using shears, pruners or chain saws
- Gathers and removes litter
- Maintains and repairs grounds tools and equipment
- Mixes and sprays fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides onto grass, shrubs and trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders under supervision.
- Provides proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters and other ground features
- Irrigates plants/flowers
- Assists with general installation and repairs of irrigations systems
- Provides general gardening duties
- Contacts appropriate party if when a guest problem is reported
- Provides general resort information for guests
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort/homeowners as s/he may come in contact with guests during their daily duties
- Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of manager
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
- Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
- Communicates all pertinent information to the CSOA team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior landscaping/grounds experience preferred
- Prior experience with powered landscaping machines preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver’s license and meet company driving standards
- Must be able to work with power operated landscaping equipment
- Must be able to work with designated chemicals
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (rain, sleet, ice, snow and heat)
- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, cold & heat);
- Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces;
- Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.;
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on an frequent basis, often for prolonged periods;
