Groundskeeper -  Maderas Golf Club   Non-Exempt   Job Summary:   The Groundskeeper performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction. The greenskeeper will perform semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work and related tasks.     Essential Functions:  Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment Rakes and maintains sand bunkers Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowing Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetable material Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up) Assist with golf course set-up procedures Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.) Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas Incorporates safe work practices in job performance Regular and reliable attendance Other duties may be assigned as needed.   Qualifications:   Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description Preferred Qualifications: Previous related experience or training Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments Excellent time management skills Physical Demands:  Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears.
