Internal Service Advisor - Kearny Mesa Ford/Kia

The Dealership Used Car Internal Service Advisor is responsible for managing the service needs of the used car inventory, ensuring all vehicles meet quality and safety standards. This role serves as a liaison between the service department and the sales team, focusing on providing excellent service and support to enhance the dealership’s used car operations.
Essential Functions:
Conduct initial assessments of used vehicles to identify necessary repairs and maintenance before they are sold.
Coordinate service appointments for used cars, ensuring efficient workflow in the service department.
Act as the main point of contact for used car sales staff, providing updates on vehicle status and any required repairs.
Advise on necessary repairs, maintenance, and enhancements for used vehicles, clearly communicating technical information to sales staff.
Test drive vehicles after repairs and maintenance has been completed to ensure that everything is functioning properly.
Maintain accurate records of service requests, work orders, and vehicle histories using dealership management software.
Ensure all used cars are thoroughly inspected and meet dealership quality standards before being put on the lot for sale.
Handle inquiries and follow-up communications regarding used vehicle service history, repairs, and maintenance for customers.
Work closely with technicians and the sales team to ensure timely completion of services and seamless transitions from service to sales.
Maintain satisfactory attendance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of experience in an automotive service advisor role.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 10 days following date of hire.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive training or certifications.
Training in automotive technology.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
