Job Summary:
This is a critical position in our organization, responsible for estimating and managing assigned construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to review and analyze financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate and manage assigned construction projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget;
- Review and analyze job estimates to identify potential risks and opportunities;
- Assist in projecting, organizing, and implementing project budgets to meet company objectives;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, organize, and direct construction projects;
- Monitor and control assigned projects to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements;
- Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures to prevent delays or cost overruns;
- Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling to inform business decisions;
- Review and understand union contracts to ensure compliance and maintain a positive working relationship with labor partners;
- Maintain an insurable driving record and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management;
- Experience in management and road construction materials;
- Three to six months of progressive estimating and project management experience;
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and technical skills;
- Ability to review and analyze financial information;
- Strategic thinking skills;
- Proficiency in HCSS, Heavy Bid, Microsoft Office, with superior Excel skills;
- Knowledge of Viewpoint software, Primavera scheduling software, Micro-Satisfaction, and Inroads design software;
- Ability to organize all aspects of the project and foresee and resolve project conflicts.
Benefits:
Sunroc Corporation offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus industry-leading benefits, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, profit sharing, 401K, and weekly paychecks.
