Things You’ll Do
- Manage a small team of maintenance mechanics.
- Manage and perform plant inspections, diagnose problems, and perform preventative plant maintenance.
- Maintain and service production machinery.
- Replace and adjust machine wear parts.
- Repair and install electrical systems as needed.
- As needed, removal and installation of molds used in production machines.
- Maintain and repair block machine molds
- Metal fabricating as needed.
- Maintain tools as required to perform job.
- Lead team in maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 3-5 years of experience working on Columbia equipment, or
- 5-10 years in the block manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional problem solving, communication, and technical skills.
- Experience with Columbia block machine machinery or equal.
- Experience with Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Safety conscious with a good safety record.
- Proficient in the use of arc and wire feed welders.
- Experienced with metal fabrication.
- Proficient in the use of pneumatic, power, and hand tools.
- Experienced with industrial electrical systems.
- Dependable, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.
- Forklift experience preferred.
