Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Dog Care Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide excellent care for pets in their own environment. As a Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of pets while their owners are away, offering services that may include feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship. This role is ideal for those who want to play/care for the dogs but want most of their evening free to use as they like.
Responsibilities
- Provide night time care for pets, including feeding and administering medications as needed.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets while in your care.
- Maintain a clean environment by cleaning up after pets and ensuring their living areas are tidy.
- Engage with pets through playtime and companionship to keep them happy and stimulated.
- Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the pet owner promptly.
- Perform basic grooming tasks such as brushing fur and bathing as required.
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding care routines and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of pet care activities and any incidents that occur during sitting sessions.
- Comfort with staying overnight with the dogs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in animal handling or pet sitting is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and basic health monitoring.
- Skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both the sitter and the pet.
- Ability to lift heavy items or assist larger pets as needed.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus but not required.
- A genuine love for animals with strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
- Certification or experience in veterinary care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various pet sitting needs.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
