Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

• This position is to provide support in the area of shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities:

· Fully receive all incoming products and materials.

· Verify and notify departments of incoming materials/supplies

· Maintain receiving log as required by HACCP

· Ship/Receive product-double check for accuracy

· Operate fork-lift

· Work safely

· Other duties as assigned

Role in Food Safety:

• Ensure incoming ingredients and raw materials a received and stored in a manner consistent with company SQF, HACCP and food safety policies.
• Ensure outgoing products a shipped in a manner consistent with company SQF, HACCP and foods safety policies.

A. Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Able to drive forklift.
• Must be able to work in hot, humid and/or cold conditions.
• Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, kneel, reach above shoulders, climb ladders, and crawl in tight and awkward work places for long periods of time.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination.

B. Non-Physical Requirements

• Education:

High school diploma required.

• Experience:

One year experience in a manufacturing/warehousing environment preferred.

• Special Skills:

Excellent communication skills

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Superb organizational skills and attention to detail

A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

Motivated, focused and accountable for results.

• This position will be backed up by the Shipping-Receiving Supervisor or the Customer & Procurement Manager in the event of an absence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.66 - $18.50 per hour
