Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for servers for Level Blue Pool!
Pool Servers will have every opportunity to not only curate unforgettable guest experiences but be a part of long-lasting memories for our guests. All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
JOB DUTIES:
- Warmly greet and acknowledge guests promptly.
- Utilize your experience and knowledge to engage guests in our menus, guiding them to the food and beverages that will wow them while also making expert suggestions to drive sales.
- Engage and observe guests in a friendly and professional manner, respond to additional requests, and looking for opportunities to personalize the guest experience to optimize your overall impact
- Be knowledgeable about menus, its ingredients, flavor profiles, portion sizes, and preparation methods, taking every opportunity to continue your education as we coach our team members along the way.
- Process all point-of-sale transactions in a quick, efficient manner.
- Know all specials and menu items on a shift-by-shift basis as well as all liquor, beer, and wine products
- Become an expert at suggestively selling items to increase check average and enrich the guest experience.
- Embrace the value of teamwork, looking for every opportunity to support one another to achieve the utmost experience for our guests.
- Maintain a clean organized work environment.
- Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as seating customers, answering telephones, stock work, cleanup, and paperwork.
- Complete all sidework duties which may include tasks not listed to ensure the overall physical product of our restaurants remains immaculate.
- Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety and liquor laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Proven restaurant serving experience.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety.
- Experience handling payments and a point-of-sale system.
- ServSafe Certification or equivalent is preferred.
- TIPS Certification or equivalent is preferred.
OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays (depending on operational hours of outlets and/or occupancy of hotel).
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on personalized service that wow’s our guests.
- Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
- Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip-resistant shoes.
- Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management.
- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively to guests and team members alike.
- Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
- Proficiency required in reading, writing, and mathematics, in English.
- Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
- Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgement when dealing with customers and peers.
