What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Services Representative position at Sunset Credit Union?
· Provide efficient and expert service to all members in all branch functions.
· Answer incoming calls in a professional, timely and efficient manner while providing accurate information and effective solutions.
· Perform a variety of member transactions including, but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, loan advances, stop payments, transfers and maintenance to members’ accounts accurately and efficiently and in accordance with credit union policy and procedure guidelines.
· Other member-related tasks to include: opening new accounts, issuing debit cards, ordering checks, selling gift cards, processing loan requests, and adjusting debit and credit card limits.
· Respond to email messages, text messages and chat communications timely and accurately.
· Observe all security/internal controls within the credit union and maintain a working knowledge of compliance and regulations.
· Ability to troubleshoot and investigate member issues and identify solutions.
· Provide accurate information regarding loan and savings rates, fees, account balances and activity.
· Maintain a working knowledge of all current credit union services and cross serve members with other credit union products that may be of benefit to them.
· Adhere to approved cash handling skills and ensure cash teller drawer is accurately balanced each day.
· Establish mobile banking and bill pay for members and provide assistance and guidance in their use.
· Must become familiar with all credit union products and services to capably assist members in their installation and usage.
· Ensure timely opening and closing of the credit union each day.
· Must have follow-through when processing member requests timely and accurately.
· Some off-site or evening or weekend events may be required, as needed.
· Attend meetings, training courses, conferences & seminars.
· Perform clerical duties as needed and provide support to other departments as necessary.
· Valid Driver’s License
· High School Education
· Prior cash handling and customer service responsibilities preferred
· Previous experience working at a financial institution a plus
· Excellent member service and effective written and verbal communication skills
· Basic keyboarding skills including knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Google Docs and Sheets
· Ability to learn new programs, websites and concepts, including maintaining logins and creating and maintaining current passwords from a variety of sites.
· Intermediate math skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions)
· Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively organize and prioritize work
· Analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
