Job Description

Job Title : Skilled Nursing LPN Charge Nurse

Job Specialty : Nursing

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 6 : 00 pm - 6 : 30 am, 12-hour shifts with coverage every 3rd weekend and every other holiday

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Experience : Prior work experience in a similar or related position

License : Licensure for the state of practice is required

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Must-Have :

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Job Description :

Assist with formulating a plan of care for residents based on individualized resident care plans and location standards.

Provide nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations, updating the plan of care as needed.

Accurately observe, document observations, and care given to residents using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Ensure physicians are notified of changes and orders are processed in a timely manner.

Share information and report residents' conditions effectively.

Respond promptly to resident call lights and direct / assist with resident and family education as needed.

Notify families about condition changes and handle linens properly.

Dispose of soiled linens, clothing, or supplies adhering to guidelines and using standard precautions with personal protective equipment.

Report and assure timely follow-up of signs or symptoms of resident infections.

Comply with all related laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures.
