Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the health, wellness, and illness prevention of our residents through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. As an LPN, you will work under the direction of a registered nurse and perform a variety of tasks, including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, documenting clinical data of patients, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the care and safety of all residents in the nursing unit
- Administer and document medications, treatments, and other nursing services
- Make a count of controlled substances on the assigned nursing unit
- Record current condition of assigned resident in EMR
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and medical provider as indicated and required
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- New York State Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
