Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a skilled accountant to play a key role on our growing team. You’ll be responsible for recording all our financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to accounting journals and QuickBooks. $18 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping: Enter data, maintain records, and produce financial reports
• Assist with recording and track tax obligations, including sales tax and/or payroll tax
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements
• Manage accounts receivable are processed efficiently
• Create and assemble new job folders
• Adherer to all financial regulations and company policies
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial and business data
• Secure sensitive documents and ensure proper access control

Qualifications:

• Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
• 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position
• Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
