Your Role
- Responsible for ensuring the store’s orderliness and cleanliness is unparalleled while providing legendary customer service that supports our vision and core values.
- Perform daily service and weekly cleaning of restrooms, windows, trash cans, store common areas, and offices in order to store cleanliness, overall appearance, and use.
- Work with a variety of cleaning supplies and chemicals. Some housekeeping functions will require the use of a ladder
- Perform and document routine cleanliness inspections; maintain cleaning logs
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms and rest rooms
About You
- Proven work experience as a cleaner
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS- formerly Material Safety Data Sheets)
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and in alignment with company core values
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule within store open/close hours
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety
- Ability to operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies applicable to the position
- Ability to observe safety requirements and safe work practices and methods as required
- Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull weights of approximately 5-20 lbs; ability to occasionally reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; Occasionally lift, carry, push and/or pull weights up to 40 lbs. Requires the ability to move heavier product with assistance.
