Day Care Center Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Daycare Center Director to lead our team at Sunshine Daycare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, proven leadership skills, and a passion for creating a positive and enriching environment for children, staff, and families.

Note: We have high expectation for the director to increase enrollment. Any and all support needed will be provided from ownership, but is ultimately responsible for increasing enrollment.

Duties:

• Oversee daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Develop and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children from infancy to preschool age.
• Manage and support a team of teachers and staff, providing guidance, professional development, and performance evaluations.
• Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, addressing their concerns and maintaining open communication.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and maintain all necessary documentation and records.
• Budget management, including monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial health of the center.
• Promote the center within the community to attract and retain families.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a daycare or early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of state licensing regulations and experience ensuring compliance.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
