Spotter Materials Recovery

Sunshine Disposal & Recycling has an opening for a full-time employee as a Spotter / Materials Recovery processor. This is a full time, day-shift position Friday-Monday 6 : 30am-5 : 00pm. This job includes assisting with traffic control in an outdoor transfer station setting. Materials recovery will include lifting up to 40 pounds, bending and twisting. Job Type : Full-time

Salary : $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

Schedule :

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekend availability

Requirements :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties / responsibilities listed below.

• Provides continuous visual monitoring of traffic entering and leaving the transfer station site.
• Visually inspects incoming loads for unacceptable materials
• Provides exceptional customer service to all residential and commercial customers.
• Gives directive signals and / or verbal instructions to customer vehicles to optimize safe flow of traffic.
• Picks up litter and debris on an ongoing basis each day in transfer station and parking lot areas.
• Searches refuse piles for recyclable materials. Separates recyclables and places into appropriate area / receptacles.
• Operates forklift when required / requested by supervisor.
• Attends all necessary meetings as scheduled including safety meetings.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Compensation details : 17-17.5 Hourly Wage
