Bus driver/ Center floater

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 14passenger bus to transport children to and from field trips, school and home.
• Follow predetermined routes and schedules
• Assist children with buckling, boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Physical ability to walk around outside the bus and from front to back on the inside of the bus, bending, and sitting for long periods. Be physically able to support children exiting the bus safely in an emergency.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and wellmaintained
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain a professional, kind, positive and courteous demeanor at all times

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Over the age of 25
• Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred and teacher qualified
• Complete and Pass CBR (Central Background Registry for Child Care)
• Multilingual or bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are a plus
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle are a plus
• Ability to manage children's behavior and maintain a safe environment on the bus

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
