What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Promise Teacher position at Sunshine Early Learning Center?
We are looking for a Preschool Promise teacher to join our Milwaukie location. Children attend the program Monday-Thursday. Friday is saved for teacher prep time and several hours of paid trainings and support.
- Registered in the Oregon Central Background Registry
- Child Abuse and Neglect Certificate
- First/CPR Infant, Child, and Adult Certified
- Food Handlers Card
- Intro to Health and Safety
- All state required trainings
- Meet education or step requirement to have a step level 5 in ORO or higher.
- Must meet state guidelines teacher
- Graduated High School or GED
- Previous 3 years' experience with children in a licensed childcare center required.
- Exercise good independent judgment in the best interest of the children, within a variety of situations, including emergencies. Implement the preschool’s beliefs and values, including discipline approaches.
- Communicates well with the primary teachers, assistants, and parents. Learn and implement preschool policies and procedures including state and federal mandates.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Able to stand for long periods of time at least 75% of shift, lift up to 40 pds, and is Able to kneel & climb.
