Cafeteria Assistant.
Company Overview : Our client is a leading Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), seeking a Cafeteria Assistant who will be responsible for performing routine to school cafeterias.
Position Summary : The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared safely and efficiently, and that the cafeteria environment is clean and well-maintained.
Position Responsibilities
- Food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in the overall delivery of food services to students, staff, and visitors.
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and assembling meals according to recipes and portion sizes.
- Serve food to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring correct portions and presentation.
- Ensure all food is served at the correct temperature and stored properly after service.
- Clean and sanitize cafeteria tables, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment used in food preparation and service.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria and storage areas.
- Greet cafeteria patrons, answer questions about the menu, and assist with special dietary needs or food allergies.
- May require standing for long periods, lifting trays, and handling hot equipment.
