Company Overview : Our client is a public school district located in Tampa FL seeking to hire multiple school psychologists with active licenses through the Florida Department of Health.
Position Summary : The ideal candidate must be a licensed school psychologist or a psychologist with clinical psychology expertise in Florida and have three years of relevant experience.

Work Hours :
Fulltime : 40 hours per week
Halftime : 20 hours per week
Position Responsibilities :
Perform psychoeducational evaluations for students onsite. Meetings can be held either onsite (preferred) or virtually.
Adhere to ethical guidelines as defined by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) the National Association of School Psychologists and / or the American Psychological Association.
Select administer and interpret appropriate psychoeducational assessments for students suspected of having disabilities or giftedness.
Use a variety of assessment tools including standardized instruments informal measures parent and teacher rating scales and behavioral observations.
Consider linguistic cultural and / or physical factors when selecting assessment instruments.
Experience & Education :
Must have a valid Florida Department of Health (FDOH) license as a school psychologist or a psychologist with a specialization in clinical psychology.
A Bachelor s degree in psychology or an equivalent qualification is required.
Minimum of three years of experience as a school psychologist or psychologist with training and expertise in providing psychoeducational evaluations for children from prekindergarten through grade 12.
Experience with dealing with linguistically diverse student populations
Necessary Attributes :
- Complete 1012 psychoeducational evaluations per month (for fulltime contractors) or 56 evaluations per month (for halftime contractors). This includes direct observations assessments parent and teacher rating scales feedback conferences with parents / guardians and written psychoeducational evaluation reports.
- Utilize test kits record booklets equipment technology office supplies and other materials provided by the client.
- Provide all student evaluation records (including test protocols and electronic versions of evaluation reports) to the client for retention in accordance with Florida Department of State General Records Schedules.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The candidate must not have been employed by the client during the previous school year or be currently working in a job share program with the client.
