Our client at Orange County Technical College is seeking to fill the Electrician Instructor position to educate and train high school students in electrical concepts, safety procedures, and hands-on applications in residential and commercial electrical work.
Position Summary :
The successful candidate shall have at least three (3) years of residential and commercial electrician experience , and hold a relevant journeyman license or equivalent certification . Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
Work Hours : 8 am - 2 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday (Wednesday : 8 am - 1 pm)

Position Responsibilities :
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for high school students.Instruct students on electrical theory, wiring, circuits, safety regulations, and hands-on installation techniques.Demonstrate proper use of tools, equipment, and materials used in the electrical trade.Supervise and evaluate students' hands-on projects and practical assessments.Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and industry standards in the classroom and lab environments.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and evaluations.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent PLUS three (3) years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work required; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties may also be qualifying.Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification preferred.Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in a classroom or professional setting is a plus.Must complete the following upon hire : criminal history check and drug screen.Possesses the Ability To :
