Cashier/Stocker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Stocker to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining stock levels. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be essential in enhancing their shopping experience.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Stock shelves with products, ensuring proper placement and visibility.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage sales.
• Upsell products when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the store.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies.

Skills

• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
• Ability to sell products effectively, utilizing upselling techniques.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with product demos to engage customers and drive sales.
• Proficient in using POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
