Job Description
- Provide legal and ethical supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant’s and non-occupational therapy support personnel.
- Maintain current reporting, documentation, scheduling, and billing in accordance with professional standards, state and local guidelines, and reimbursement requirements.
- Evaluate the patient’s abilities and formulate the patient’s occupational profile through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews.
- Synthesize evaluation results into a plan of care, which reflects strengths and/or barriers to patient discharge requirements; directs program development; and guides evidence-based intervention.
- Adapt and modify environments, equipment, and materials including assistive technology, splinting, specialized adaptive equipment and wheelchair assessment to maximum individual improvement.
