What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant for Assisted Living position at Sunshine Health Facilities?
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Activity Director in meeting the social and interactive needs of the boarding home residents. Creates a fun and therapeutic environment for residents through teamwork and positive attitudes while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned as part of the universal worker philosophy of the facility.
- Assist with ideas for craft projects and monthly calendar.
- Carries out resident morning meetings.
- Update monthly calendar in specified area
- Purchases and inventories supplies and prizes within a monthly budget.
- Lead recreation groups and keep track of resident attendance and participation.
- Work with assigned residents in 1:1 sessions.
- Assists with resident outings in the community to promote positive social skills.
- Maintain positive relationship with the community and network to create new opportunities.
- Complete all required charting and documentation including filing of monthly flow sheets.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
