Position Title: Pediatric Nurse

Overview: We are seeking a warm and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality home nursing services to pediatric clients in accordance with the agency's philosophy of care. This position requires a nurse who is not only clinically skilled but also possesses the ability to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities: - Deliver skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes, ensuring adherence to the established care plan.
- Assess the health needs of children, including evaluating vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including intravenous therapies, injections, and wound care.
- Develop trusting relationships with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and responses to treatment in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, specialists, and other team members to coordinate and enhance patient care.
- Educate families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and the management of chronic conditions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge in pediatric care.
- Promote a safe and clean home environment for patients by following health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State]. - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous experience in pediatric nursing, home health or home care, or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while providing care in a home setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
