Supervisor

To oversee the daily operations of the Extrusion department. Oversee employees in their department and ensure that all products are manufactured correctly according to the specs supplied to him/her by the QA department.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that all employees on your shift are following all SQF, GMP, HACCP, SOP, and safety guidelines

2. Inform operators of what formula to produce and how much of the particular formula they are to produce.

3. Monitor the production of product on your shift to ensure that product is produced correctly and efficiently.

4. Ensure that all employees in your department are taking the proper steps to monitor the product that is being produced.

5. Coordinate/Communicate with the production department to ensure all production needs are met on a shift by shift basis.

6. Coordinate/Communicate with ingredient unloader to ensure that you have the proper ingredients for your shift to run correctly and efficiently.

7. Monitor the unfinished and finished inventory in the storage tanks. Check all tanks at the end of shift and form a total inventory to be turned into the proper persons.

8. Monitor the operator to ensure that he is using the correct formulas

1. Coordinate/Communicate with other department to ensure all production needs are met.

2. Verify that each operator has done his job correctly and effectively. Supervisor is to sign and turn in all paperwork related to their particular shift to verify this.

3. Complete and maintain work orders as needed.

4. Be and active member of the Food Defense Team, Internal Auditing Team, HACCP and Manager Commitment Team
