Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter payment and adjustment data into the patient account from electronic remittance (ERA) and paper EOB.
- Processes refunds and related items as needed. Performs periodic and month-end balancing and reporting activities.
- Follow regulations, guideline and policies and procedures for billing multiple insurance lines. Review explanation of benefits for correct payment and denials
Requirements:
- Must have at least one year of medical billing experience
- Prior Customer Service experience
- Microsoft Excel, basic skills required. Knowledge of medical billing, coding and collections
- Knowledge of NueMD, OpenPM, and Intergy is a plus
