What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Sunshine Pools, Inc.?
The Drafter/AutoCAD Technician uses AutoCAD (2010 or newer version) to prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes provided by Engineer / field rep. This position requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow up with team members to finalize projects in a timely manner. Opportunity for growth is offered starting with this position.
Position is full time (40 hours per week) in an office (not remote work).
Skills / Requirements
Highly skilled in AutoCAD 2010 or later.
Be able to travel to sites to obtain field data.
Be able to make clear and detailed field sketches and notes.
Strong Written & Oral Communication Skills Are Required.
Be available to travel to meet with clients / city jurisdictions.
Meet with city permitting departments to file building permits and applications.
REPSONSIBILITIES
Making field visits to obtain necessary measurements to produce drawings for residential construction projects.
Creating base drawings & integrating them into drawing sets.
General construction drawings.
Making corrections to drawings.
Performing take-offs for cost estimation.
Plotting site drawings.
Organizing & filing of project related materials.
Quality control review of drawings.
Generate standard details.
Travel to city permitting departments to deliver and pick-up permits and other related paperwork.
