Position Overview:
Sunshine Residential Homes is seeking a compassionate and dedicated One-on-One Child Care Specialist to provide individualized supervision and support to children in our care. This part-time role focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of a designated child, adhering to the Arizona Department of Child Safety’s one-on-one supervision guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide continuous, individualized supervision to an assigned child, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.
• Engage the child in daily activities, including transportation to appointments and participation in enrichment programs.
• Offer emotional support and guidance, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.
• Maintain detailed daily logs of supervision, documenting behaviors, interventions, and progress.
• Collaborate with the Child Safety Specialist to provide bi-weekly progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with one-on-one supervision guidelines, including proximity requirements and monitoring during personal activities.
Hours will be between 2 PM to 10 PM during week. Weekend hours will be 7 AM to 10 PM (The whole time the child is awake. Times may vary).
Compensation:
• $18.00 per hour.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in child welfare or a related field.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean 5-year driving record.
• Possession of a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or eligibility to obtain one.
• Access to a personal vehicle with valid auto insurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and reports.
