The summer based program is scheduled for June 09, 2025, through July 30, 2025, with one week of closure June 30, 2025 - July 04, 2025. The anticipated onboarding date for this position's selected candidate is scheduled for approximately June 02, 2025.

Job Summary
Summer Elementary School Teacher - Early Childhood Development Supervisor (ECDS) is responsible for the development and implementation of our summer program for children K-4. The program is curriculum based and developmentally appropriate and provides the maximum learning opportunities for all children in the EIDT classrooms. Parent conferencing, working with an inter-disciplinary team, case management and working cooperatively with local school districts and other agencies in order to provide comprehensive, individualized habilitation programs and services are related responsibilities of this position. It is essential that they demonstrate professionalism, a respect for confidentiality and a commitment to the agency's mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Program Management for Assigned Students
a. Coordinate assigned student’s program services within the interdisciplinary team.
b. Maintains student files and documents in compliance with agency and licensing requirements and procedures.
c. Maintain open communication with pertinent staff and professionals through individual and/or group staff meetings.
2. Parent and Family Involvement
a. Develop and maintain cooperation/communication with student’s parents and other family members regarding their needs and the student’s needs, goals, and progress.
3. Individual Habilitation Plan
a. Develop, implement, and evaluate the individual habilitation program ensuring the student’s needs are addressed.
b. Develop functional and measurable ITP’s that reflect each student’s current level of performance, chronological age, and needs.
4. Staff Supervision
a. Supervise Teacher Assistants and Classroom Support Staff as they implement instructional programs and plans.
b. Development and maintain a classroom management system that implements individualized goals.
c. Assist with the modification of activities to accommodate ability levels.
d. Model instructional activities with modifications in small and large group activities
e. Offer feedback and support in a helpful and supportive manner.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
1. Education requirements: Bachelors Degree in Elementary or Special Education required
2. Experience in special education and/or early education preferred.
3. Experience working with children with developmental delays/disabilities and their families preferred.
4. Background clearance from the Child and Adult Abuse and Maltreatment Central Registry and Arkansas State Police criminal background check.
5. Meet agency’s drug screening requirements.
6. Essential physical and mental requirements to perform the duties of this position include: Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time. Regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Days/Hours:
This position is based on the annual in-center staff calendar. Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day to be scheduled between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as agreed upon with the program director. Additional hours/days may be required to meet the needs of the agency.
