Job Description: As the Early Childhood Site Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. You will lead and support our team of educators, manage administrative tasks, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in early childhood education and proven supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of early childhood educators and staff.
- Ensure the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and staff.
- Oversee enrollment and maintain accurate records of children’s progress and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on their child’s development.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Manage the center’s budget and resources efficiently.
- Plan and conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in a supervisory capacity; OR
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in a supervisory capacity or progressively increased responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer software for administrative tasks.
