Job Description:
Sunshine Sitters Services is seeking highly qualified babysitters with a bachelor’s degree in a child-focused discipline to join our team of professionals. This role is ideal for individuals with an educational background in child development who are passionate about providing exceptional care, engaging activities, and support to families.
Family is seeking part-time care for child on Tuesday's & Thursdays from 9am-1pm, starting March-June (schedule my change for summer).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and engage children in enriching, age-appropriate activities that encourage development and creativity.
- Assist with educational tasks, such as homework or learning activities.
- Prepare light meals or snacks for children and occasionally for the family, as needed.
- Perform household duties such as tidying up play areas, laundry, and light cleaning.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in a professional setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with children with special needs or diverse learning styles.
- Knowledge of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other educational approaches.
- Ability to create customized learning or enrichment plans for children.
