Position Overview:
As a Customer Service Representative you will be instrumental in providing exceptional customer service and operational support, including an exciting opportunity to assist as part of our e-commerce support team. You will have the opportunity to develop extensive knowledge and technical skills that will set you up for future success. Your primary responsibilities will include working behind the front desk at our store, handling large transactions, and providing customers with technical knowledge and product support as well as fulfilling orders. Additionally, you will play a role in managing logistics and material transfers between our stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become knowledgeable about our products, including their technical specifications and applications, to offer expert guidance to our customers.
- Handle a high volume of customer interactions via phone calls, emails, in-person visits, and web chats.
- Assist customers at the front desk, providing friendly and helpful service to address their questions, concerns, and product needs.
- Inform customers about promotions, exclusive products, and industry trends.
- Process customer estimates, orders, and returns with accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide assistance with processing high value orders.
- Update customers and sales team members on order status and material availability.
- Oversee logistics and transfers of materials between stores, working with our shipping partners to ensure prompt and precise deliveries.
- Assist in inventory coordination, stock rotation, and year-end inventory counts.
- Identify sales opportunities and promote featured products effectively.
- Office administrative duties, including ordering supplies and filing paperwork.
- Assisting in back of house / warehouse environment with shipping and order picking.
- Website support, including web chat and website order fulfillment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service or inside sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with customers is a must! We are looking for a candidate who enjoys building long lasting relationships with our customers.
- Familiarity with construction materials, waterproofing techniques, and related technical knowledge (or a genuine interest and willingness to learn).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computers (experience with NetSuite is a bonus but not required).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. You will be joining a small team of other CSR's who will be able to guide and support you in your journey.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
