Position Summary:

As an Officer of the Company, the Vice President, Finance and Administration/CFO will be responsible for taking a leadership role in the development and management of policies, goals and short and long range objectives as established and/or approved by the parent organization, the operations of the company and through collaboration with executive management and the Board to achieve growth goals and ensure financial strength. This will include direct responsibility for the Accounting, Finance, Strategic Planning, Legal, Information Technology, Customer Service and Quality/Regulatory areas.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Develops organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Confer with board members, organization officials and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities and resolve problems
  • Appoint department heads or managers and assign or delegate responsibilities to them
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems and other administrative control processes
  • Establishes operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Motivate, develop and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retain capable and high performing employees throughout the organization.
  • Insure that employee performance meets corporate needs and performance criteria
  • Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.
  • Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.
  • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Provides leadership in the development of the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic objectives for all departments responsible for.
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management and the Board with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and /or CPA highly desirable

 

Knowledge/Experience

  • A proven leader with 15 years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
  • Financial planning and strategy, managing profitability, strategic planning, promoting process improvement, forecasting, corporate finance, information technologies, quality and regulatory affairs customer service and dealing with complexity.

      The pay range for this position of Vice President, Finance & CFO is $206,449- $350,964. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus as part of total compensation.
