Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This person should also be very organized as coordination the installation of new equipment will be required.
Essential Duties
- Supports a comprehensive Maintenance department including but not limited to maintaining 5S system, cost reducing measures, and continuous improvements.
- Participates and assists in the development and successful implementation of a preventive maintenance plan including, assisting the PE’s writing job instructions and procedures.
- Execute a preventative maintenance program.
- Support Process Engineer with production/processes performance issues.
- Fix all breakdowns.
- Obtain quotes and write purchase requisitions to obtain needed goods.
- Subject to being called after hours. Must be able provide assistance as needed.
- Work with vendors to improve the current processes and production capabilities.
- Maintain and organize separate supply/storage location.
- Support all new equipment using best practices provided by the supplier/manufacturer.
Qualifications
- Must have electrical installation and troubleshooting experience of industrial equipment.
- Possess a working knowledge of PLC’s.
- Experience with Aerial lifts and working at heights.
- knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out programs.
- On Call capability, to fix equipment with possible notice of less than 2 hours.
- Must have a valid driver's license to operator company vehicles.
- Microsoft office experience is a plus. Must be able to stand for most of an 8 to 12 hour day as well as work in a manufacturing environment consisting of heat, dust, oil and dirt.
- Must be able to lift greater than 50 lbs.
- Excellent attendance is required.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
