Sunstates Security is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design, develop, and implement innovative BI solutions for a high profile national client. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of BI tools, data modeling, and analytics, with a passion for optimizing reporting processes.
This position will be based in the Phoenix area with an expected 10-15% of travel to other locations throughout the month.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
BI Solution Development:
- Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Create and maintain data models, KPIs, and metrics to meet business needs.
Data Integration & Analysis:
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform strategic decisions.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders, to gather and define requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users for effective utilization of BI tools.
Performance Optimization:
- Monitor BI system performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Optimize data queries and BI tools for efficiency and scalability.
Documentation & Standards:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI solutions, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Power BI, ServiceNow, CCure, Genetech, and BioConnect platforms
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or DAX is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning is an advantage.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
