ABOUT SUNSTONE
Sunstone Management, a diversified private capital firm that invests in diverse early-stage technology entrepreneurs, is seeking candidates for a Marketing Fellow role for the annual Sunstone 6-month Fellowship Program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Marketing & Communications.
JOB DUTIES
The following list of job duties and activities will be the responsibility of the Fellow:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Support the creation and editing of written, video, and graphic content for promotional materials and communication channels.
- Help manage social media platforms by creating posts, scheduling content, and engaging with followers.
- Contribute to internal and external communication efforts.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support marketing strategies.
- Assist with event planning and coordination for both virtual and in-person events.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and report on key metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
- Perform administrative tasks related to marketing and communications projects as needed.
EDUCATIONAL & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or other related field
- Be enrolled in graduate studies in a related field at an accredited university in the US with a completion date no later than June 30th of the Program year
- Be able to work 20 to 30 hours per week
- Ability to work onsite at SMI Headquarters in Irvine, CA
- Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Collaborative, enthusiastic, team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced with programs including Microsoft Office, Canva, Hootsuite, Adobe, LinkedIn
- Video editing and website knowledge a plus
- Bilingual a plus (ex: Mandarin Chinese)
