PeopleSoft Developer in Albany, New York
100% work on-site required - location at 110 State Street Albany, New York 12236
Duration: 24 months, with a strong possibility of an extension.
Weekly Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. Working weekends, past normal business hours and holidays are by mutual agreement.
Description of Engagement:
Looking for staff augmentation to help support their efforts to move printing off the Mainframe to utilizing tools within their Oracle PeopleSoft Environments.
This work will support migrations for 3 separate PeopleSoft Environments including the New York State Payroll System running on v.9.2 of PeopleSoft’s HCM/Payroll for N. America, the New York State and Local Retirement System running on v.9.2 of PeopleSoft’s HCM/Payroll for N. America and, and the New York State Financial System running on v9.2 of PeopleSoft’s FSCM.
The development work encompasses work with BI Publisher, batch, and online objects.
Experience in Mainframe Programming, SQR, and PeopleCode is needed.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Seven or more years of application development experience with PeopleSoft using at least three or more of the following toolsets: XML, SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, and Components Interface.
- Seven or more years of experience in using SQL.
- Four or more years of experience in using PeopleTools 8.57 and higher.
- Five or more years of experience conceptualizing and transforming business requirements into design documents with associated test plans and documentation.
- Four or more years of experience developing collaborative solutions and troubleshooting issues between functional and technical teams.
- Four or more years of experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or the developed application to other application developers.
- Four or more years of experience supporting the development of other application development staff.
- Four or more years of experience managing technical resources (staff) in a PeopleSoft environment.
- Four or more years of experience with bulk Printing from PeopleSoft, specifically checks.
- Four or more years of experience working with BI Publisher.
- Two or more years of experience handling bank validation and requirements.
- Two or more years of experience using Phire for migrations.
- One or more years of experience with Mainframe Programming (JCL and COBOL preferred).
- One or more years of experience writing and tuning code for performance issues.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in teams.
- Knowledge of application development principles and best practices.
