Summary /Objective
Manage two personnel (AP/AR) in the accounting department. Providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.
Essential Function
Perform general ledger related activities of the accounting department including month end journal entries, account compositions and reconciliations. Ensure accurate and timely recording classifying and summarizing of transactions and account balances. Maintain chart of accounts and quantum system monthly period integrity.
Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, employee expense reports, and cash control.
Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, and cash receipts application.
Assure the accurate and timely recording of payroll expenses including month end accrual.
Prepare daily reconciliation cash balances and rolling three-month cash forecasts
Provide support in preparation of corporate sales, and property tax returns ensuring adherence to due dates.
Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company's value.
Provide support during year-end financial audit
Communicate with co-workers, management, suppliers and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
Key Performance Measurements
General ledger accuracy which leads to financial statement accuracy.
Participate in timely month-end close activities.
Timely and accurate cash flow statements and forecasts
Accurate tracking of capital expenditures and fixed assets balances reconciled to the general ledger and financial statements
Reconciliations monthly and ensure proper cutoff occurs

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance desired.
CPA certification is a plus.
Three to five years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
Preferred Experience
Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Bank compliance experience and cash management
