About the Role
As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals and be responsible for optimizing operational performance to drive efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to all plant operations, including safety, production, scheduling, purchasing, logistics, maintenance, quality, and administration.
- Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and implementing proactive measures to minimize risks.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing workflows, and maximizing asset utilization.
- Oversee quality control processes, investigating and resolving any issues to ensure adherence to company and customer specifications.
- Develop and mentor team members, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Set and communicate clear goals and objectives aligned with company priorities.
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage operational budgets.
- Lead problem-solving efforts to address production challenges and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure effective utilization of the ERP system and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
About You
Basic Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business discipline or equivalent demonstrable knowledge gained through working experience
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 5 years senior-level supervisory leadership experience
Practical/Technical Skills
- Production scheduling best practices.
- Standard procedure documentation and writing ability.
- Blueprint reading.
- Lean manufacturing or Continuous Improvement program experience.
- OSHA regulation knowledge and experience.
Leadership Skills
- Experience setting strategic priorities and leading teams to execute according to plan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to report to executive leadership and also engage effectively with front-line operations staff.
- Proven ability to supervise employees effectively and maintain staff compliance with company HR policies.
- Data-driven leader with the ability to utilize KPIs and business intelligence to improve operational performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Equipment & process knowledge: roll formers, punch, shears, press brakes, welding
- Lean/Six Sigma/TPS/Greenbelt/Blackbelt or related certification
- Experience in steel fabrication manufacturing environment
- IAS, ISO, or equivalent quality control standards.

Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
