Broad Function
This is a temporary, grant-funded appointment from July 21, 2025 through August 15, 2025 and is supported by SUNY's Office of Opportunity Programs. SUNY Adirondack's Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) will offer a 4 - week intensive Summer Bridge Program designed to assist financially and academically eligible, incoming freshmen with intensive academic instruction, enhanced orientation, and academic support services.
Major Responsibilities
- Providing tutoring and supplemental instruction to program participants in subjects like, English, and reading.
- Assist students with classroom assignments, as assigned by professor.
- Working together to plan bonding activities for all incoming EOP students
- Serving as a Teacher's Assistant in selected classes (to be assigned based on Tutor Mentor's academic strengths)
Required Skills
The ability to teach elective courses or facilitate workshops. Demonstrated knowledge, ability, and sensitivity to work with, teach, and counsel students who have been traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
Educational Requirements
Student who has met high academic standards. 3.0 cumulative college GPA with 45 credits earned is preferred. Certification, Associate degree or Bachelor degree preferred.

Monday : (1 : 30 PM - 5 : 00 PM)
Tuesday : (1 : 30 PM - 5 : 00 PM)
Wednesday : (12 : 30 PM - 5 : 00 PM)
Thursday : (1 : 30 PM - 5 : 00 PM)
Friday : (12 : 30 PM - 3 : 30 PM)
Compensation :
Compensation will be based on experience / education level :
Students : $15.50 / hour
Associate Degree : $18.50 / hour
Bachelors : $23.00 / hour
