Are you passionate about Information Technology (IT) support and delivering exceptional service? SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified applicants for an IT Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role involves triaging technical issues, managing endpoint configurations, supporting AV systems, and maintaining a seamless balance between usability and security.
This is an in-person, full-time, 12-month, tenure track appointment with an estimated beginning date of April / May 2025.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Requirements :
An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication and Media Arts, or a related field, with five (5) years of full-time experience in Information Technology, Broadcasting, or Media Communication is required; OR
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication and Media Arts, or a related field, with three (3) years of full-time experience in Information Technology, Broadcasting, or Media Communication.
Preferred :
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication and Media Arts, or a related field.
Experience in academic Information Technology environments, and certifications like ITIL or ISO 27001.
Additional Information :
The annual salary for this position is $63,548.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
