The College has over 7,700 students annually and services over 6,100 students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Professional Studies, Health Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs. An additional 1,600 students are served through the College's workforce and non-credit programs.
Job Description :
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified applicants for part-time faculty (adjunct) teaching in our Art & Design department.
These positions are filled on an as-needed basis and are ongoing recruitment efforts. Applicants are contacted / hired for assignments based on college needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Teaching under the guidance of the department chairperson.
- Helping students master course content.
- Assessing student learning outcomes.
- Utilizing current learning management system technology (Brightspace) in the performance of job duties.
- Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the Faculty contract.
Requirements :
A Bachelor's degree and significant work experience in a related field is required. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
