SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging faculty member to join the School of Applied Technologies starting in August for the Fall 2025 semester.
Applications are being accepted for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track faculty member in the School of Applied Technologies and Architecture, teaching Refrigeration and Air Conditioning courses. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of both domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This should include a strong knowledge of electrical systems and controls used throughout the industry.
Faculty members in our HVAC program are responsible for the following:
Program Development
- Participate in annual systematic assessment of the program
- Participate in analyzing data and recommending curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary
Teaching Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based instruction following the policies set forth by the College
- Provide hands-on, lab-based instruction on various construction methods, including job site safety and safe operation of tools and equipment
- Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
- Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
- Incorporate student service-learning opportunities
Advisement
- Assist in advisement of students
- Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
- Track student's completion of progression requirements
Academic & Organization Commitment
- Serve on campus committees
- Mentoring Adjunct Faculty
- Participate in full and part-time faculty meetings
- Participate in accreditation reviews and reports
- Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college
- Pursue scholarly interests

- Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of professional experience in a related field
- OR High School Diploma and 10 years in a related field (would require the applicant to attain an Associate Degree within 6 years)
- EPA 608 Certification
- Driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with three years of professional experience in a related field
- Seven or more years of professional experience in a related field
- Experience in teaching or working with young adults
- Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
- Understanding the value of civic engagement
Additional Information:
- Salary: $48,000
- This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position
