Duties Description The SUNY Geneseo Facilities Department is looking for a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Facility Operations Assistant 1 in our Building & Grounds crew. As a Facility Operations Assistant 1, you will perform a variety of routine tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort to assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings, roads, offices, furniture, facilities, and campus landscape associated with grounds tasks.Your primary responsibility will be completing activities as part of a work crew to perform upkeep for the campus grounds and landscaping. You will be responsible for operating various tools including forklifts, pallet jacks, power tools, dollies, hand trucks, mowers, weed eaters, and tractors.This position requires the ability to work shifts and weekends, based on a 40-hour workweek, plus scheduled and unscheduled overtime when necessary. You may be working outdoors in inclement weather.
