The Department of Athletics at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Events, Operations, and Development. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The University is a member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and sponsors 21 Division III varsity sports.

Duties include but not limited to:
- The Assistant Athletic Director will report directly to the Director of Athletics as a member of the Athletic Department within the Division of Student Affairs. They will be a part of the Athletic Departments senior leadership team.
- Director of Game Day operations. Works with the coaching staff and Sports Information Department to recruit, train, and supervise sports event staff. Also, to ensure a safe, positive, and professional experience for all involved.
- Oversee communication of transport schedules to our bus company and on campus constituents.
- Work with the Sports Information Department for game day marketing and promotions with a focus on fan engagement.
- Support student internships and volunteer opportunities.
- Manage facility scheduling for athletic teams, campus, and community groups.
- Help to support, organize, and oversee Departmental events.
- Supervision of Athletic Department staff along with recruitment, hiring, training, and supervising student workers.
- Oversee budgets of the various areas of responsibility.
- Assist the Director of Athletics in compiling reports and preparing documents and represent the department at SUNYAC and NCAA meetings.
- Build and promote community relations and campus community integration.
- Point of contact regarding disciplinary issues within the Athletic Department.
- Support Athletic Department and SUNY Oneonta initiatives and events, both on and off campus.
- Able to effectively communicate with a range of diverse constituents and contribute to a positive work environment.
Salary: $62,000-$65,000 - commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in an athletic department at the NCAA collegiate level
- Experience managing athletic events
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience supervising students and/or professional staff
Preferred:
- Master's degree in related field
- Five or more years of experience in athletic administration at the collegiate level
- NCAA Division III experience
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
