The Department of Facilities Planning & Safety at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Site Representative - Project Manager.
The Department of Facilities Planning and Safety is responsible for capital planning, delivery of capital projects, energy management, space management, facilities operations, and property control across 45 major buildings and approximately 2.4 million gross square feet of building floor space. Duties include but not limited to:
- Perform duties as an on-site representative for SUNY Oneonta, State University Construction Fund (SUCF), and architect/engineer on various construction projects as assigned.
- Assist in the planning and design process of SUCF projects.
- Work with faculty, staff, and design professionals in development of projects
- During construction, oversee contractor compliance with contract drawings and specifications, monitor contractor progress, handle contractor questions
- Screen contractor administrative work/payment requests on behalf of SUCF/SUNY/AE
- Manage project close-out and warranty duties as required, and other project related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related construction industry.
- Five years of field experience managing construction or industrial projects.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of applicable building codes, laws, rules and standards regulating design and construction.
- Thorough understanding of project specifications, plan drawings and other construction documents including submittals and shop drawings.
- Effective written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Professional license in Architecture or Engineering.
- New York State Code Enforcement Officer certification.
- Experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit.
- Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
