SUNY Orange seeks a highly skilled Institutional Reporting and Data Analyst to lead and support data management, reporting, and analysis efforts critical to institutional compliance and decision-making. Our Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and strategic use of institutional data while supporting the evolving needs of an innovative community college. This position involves coordinating data submissions to SUNY's SIRIS, IPEDS, and NYSED, while also spearheading internal reporting and business intelligence efforts leveraging tools (e.g., Argos/Cognos, Power, SQL, BI platforms, or similar). The ideal candidate will combine technical and analytical expertise and a commitment to fostering a data-informed culture that supports student success and institutional effectiveness.
Job Requirements:
Education Required: Bachelor's degree or higher OR an Associate's degree with a minimum of two years of required experience
Experience Required: Experience with data management, analysis, and reporting in a professional setting. Proficiency with data querying and reporting tools (e.g., Argos/Cognos, Power, SQL, BI platforms, or similar) and familiarity with data visualization techniques. Ability to work with large datasets, database systems, or enterprise data platforms with the willingness to learn higher education-specific frameworks (e.g., IPEDS, SIRIS, NYSED). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Salary: $47,410 to 62,816 per annum; commensurate with experience. This is a Staff & Chair, Grade 40, 12 month position.
