What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Facility Operations Assistant 1 position at SUNY Plattsburgh?
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Move heavy supplies, furniture, office equipment and records by physically lifting items or operating a hand truck or forklift. Move items to and from storerooms and/or warehouses. Set up and remove chairs, podiums, furniture, partitions, and equipment for office moves, conferences, meetings, and special events. Assist truck drivers and motor vehicle operators in picking up and delivering items. May drive delivery vehicles. Minimum Qualifications -Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions-Physically able to perform the tasks of the position including, but not limited to, those in the Examples of Duties & Responsibilities-Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive state vehicles with proper authorization-A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with a variety of individuals

Additional Comments The Moving Crew is responsible for completing moving requests of furniture, equipment, records, and other appropriate items as requested by campus constituents through our online work management system. We are part of the Administration & Finance division which provides essential services to our campus, local, state, federal and international customers. We are responsible for human, physical, financial and technical resources. As professionals, we navigate systems in a collaborative and sensitive way to assist the University in achieving its educational mission. This temporary position is expected to work Monday-Friday, 6:00a.m – 2:30p.m.Please include a complete application and contact information for three current professional references.
