Position Summary:
SUNY Ulster County Community College, a two-year branch of the State University of New York located ninety miles north of New York City in the Catskill Mountains, is currently accepting applications for a Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
The Head Women’s Soccer Coach reports to the Director of Athletics. This position is responsible for the organization and administration of the Women’s soccer program. The successful candidate will develop effective and positive communication with the students, faculty, alumni, and community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for coaching, recruiting, team travel, fundraising, and all other areas of soccer operations (benchmark expectations will be identified). The selected individual must comply with College, College Association, NJCAA Division III, Conference and Departmental rules, standards, and regulations, and must work cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel. This person is responsible for operating within the budgetary limitations of the program, must support the student-athlete concept, and must demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete. This position will take an active leadership role in fundraising and public relations activities for the soccer program and also the Athletics Department as a whole. The coach must be committed to excellence at SUNY Ulster. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach may be assigned additional duties in support of the department's mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma
- Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills
- Current knowledge of NCAA or NJCAA regulations
- Ability to successfully recruit college level student athletes
- Previous Coaching experience
- Evidence of a commitment to academic excellence including athlete graduation
- Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
- Capable and willing to actively plan and participate in fundraising, promotions, and other similar endeavors as they relate to the bowling program and the entire Athletics Department
- Commitment to community college goals and objectives of providing quality programs and services for culturally, socio-economically, ethnically, and academically diverse students and students with disabilities; personal qualities to work effectively and with sensitivity in a multicultural environment; awareness of and commitment to the needs of non-traditional and/or re-entry students with diverse abilities and interests
- Associate's degree or higher
- Demonstrated recruiting of successful student-athletes preferred
- College coaching experience preferred
