What are the responsibilities and job description for the BBHU Intake Specialist position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary :
The Intake Specialist participates in referral review and triage process for appropriate Golisano Children's Special Needs (GCSN) department allocation. Communicates with parent / caregiver to gather information and provide recommendations. Communicates with Primary Care Providers (PCPs), school districts, and / or mental health providers to discuss appropriateness of referrals. Meets with triage team members to discuss cases and processes. Documents referral updates in EPIC.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work or related field required.
Preferred Qualifications :
One year of experience working with the intellectual and / or developmental disabilities population.
Work Days : M-F Days
